We live in a selfie world. A world were many people love Jesus and follow him but keep it all to themselves. And when we keep to ourselves we don’t notice the people around us who are empty.

We miss the people around us who need someone to care for them. We miss the people who are in our church or youth group that need help with their burdens. We don’t see them so they feel alone.

If the resurrection truly changes everything then it should change us to not be selfies, to see the burdens others need help carrying. Take a bucket of rocks, a full bucket of rocks are hard to carry by yourself, but if we gave everyone a little bit the weight becomes easier to carry.

We are called to help carry each other’s burdens. We are called to be there for others and share our walk of faith with them. This is how the resurrection changes us.
