The most important event in all of history was the resurrection. No other event changed things more. Many of our students are constantly around it. James, the author of James and Jesus’ younger brother, was around Jesus all the time. I imagine that growing up with Jesus as your older brother was tough. I am sure a few times he heard, “Why can’t you be more like your brother Jesus?” Even through all that James calls himself a slave to Jesus. The resurrection changes everything.
Our students are around Jesus as well. They see people around them changed by the resurrection. They have to decide if this event matters to them as much as it matters to others. If it does it will change what we say, what we think, and what we do. If the resurrection changes everything then what does it change in us?
